“Learning proper weightlifting training and technique at such young age was so important in building confidence and strength early in my training years. The weightlifting club gave me somewhere I could grow as an athlete and a person. I still use a lot of the same strength movements today as a professional athlete I did as a young athlete just starting out.”

I’m incredibly grateful for my strength and jump training with Logan. He not only taught me how to lift safely but also how to move efficiently to achieve the progress I was aiming for. I began training with him early in my volleyball career, and the fundamentals he instilled kept me safe and healthy throughout my journey. His coaching helped me build a strong foundation that supported me throughout my NCAA Division I beach volleyball career.

Logan created an encouraging and positive environment where I felt motivated to push myself while still enjoying the process. His energy, knowledge, and genuine investment in my progress made every session something to look forward to. Training with him wasn’t just effective—it was empowering and confidence-building.

I started weightlifting to help with other athletic endeavours but the club and the coaches there made it feel like home. They made it so that I had a safe place to learn how to lift properly without judgement and helped me develop a passion for weightlifting and living a healthy lifestyle.

The work ethic and commitment I gained through training at the club has translated into the rest of my life, and helped me grow and push myself, not only as an athlete, but as a person.

Joining the Norsmen and Valkyries Weightlifting Club was one of the most impactful decisions I made for my athletic development during high school. When I first began Olympic weightlifting, my goal was to get stronger and improve my performance in sports like tennis, badminton, and volleyball. But my experience at the club ended up shaping far more than just my athletic ability.

Training under knowledgeable coaches and alongside dedicated lifters challenged me to push my limits, set goals, and stay consistent. Not only did I see improvement in my other sports, but I also had the opportunity to compete in several Olympic weightlifting meets!

The Norsemen and Valkyries club, especially coaches Logan and Larry, did more than just help me become a better athlete. They played a key role in shaping the person I am today. I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of a team that taught me how to work hard and stay disciplined while having fun!
